The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out more info into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage designed for intervention ordeals a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
